Clinique — Foundation Bar

Clinique is a cosmetics and skincare brand that sells products for men and women of all ages and ethnicities. It was founded in 1968 by The Estée Lauder Companies in New York City and is known for its 3-step skin care system of cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing.

Partnering with an agency, we were challenged to create short videos for a variety of digital channels to promote Clinique’s current line-up of foundations while showcasing diversity, beauty needs, and skincare concerns.

Clinique launches a travel themed event promoting travel essentials including skincare, makeup, and fragrance—along with free travel size products—a perfect fit for your carry-on.

Full size products are treated to destination themed luggage stickers while their miniature counterparts pose with tiny souvenir replicas of famous landmarks from across the globe.

In a beauty landscape increasingly cluttered by new brands claiming to change your life with a bottle, Clinique partnered with an agency to refresh their brand perception online—while owing their heritage and embracing their legacy through simplicity.

Objectives include integrating storytelling elements in a visually compelling way by creating a visual hierarchy and pacing, while integrating brand elements, and rethinking modules through merchandising. Challenges include creating brand relevance for modern times while remaining true to their clean and simple ethos while presenting as bold and confident.
